  • The basters managers cared about for their salary only, not for the safety of the people whom brought their salary by flying the air plains. And now the hero maintenance man who intended to save the plane from destruction can no longer work for the company, instead of receiving honor for the suggestion of changing that screw ! .....Killers !

  • @methanbreather the owner u mean **

  • @methanbreather ITS NOT THERE FAULT THEY PROBABLY FORGOT TO REPLACE IT

  • To all the folks who decry "capitalist greed" as the root problem here, I remind you that capitalism is the very reason we have machines like this in the first place. Also, some of the worst disasters occurred in Communist Russia, where capitalist greed played no factor (Kursk, Chernobyl, ring a bell?).

Cutting cost is a way of life. I wonder how many of you hypocrites drive cars with balding tires or worn brakes, risking others' lives because you'd prefer to not spend money on a fix.

  • @77thewaz The power of the "free" market, (which allows free transit of money across borders to find the cheapest labour, but not for people to find the best jobs), may be unable to grease a jack screw, but it has no problem at all greasing palms whenever necessary to ensure governments turn a blind eye to their profiteering at the expense of innocent lives. Thanks to their funding of political parties no corporate manslaughter regulations have been passed that would stop this kind of practice.

  • Time and again it's capitalist greed that causes these crashes. Maintenance crews were under pressure to save money to make bigger bonuses for those at the top. If governments weren't in league with the fat cats they'd introduce strict corporate manslaughter laws where the buck stopped at the top, with long prison sentences rather than fines which, even if exemplary. allow a company to simply declare bankruptcy and reopen under a new name. Whistleblowers' jobs should also be protected by law.

  • Technology is reducing pilot error, but there is no computer against greed and corruption, this kind of problems will remain, likely until laws are in place to held high ranking executives accountable of criminal charges and making fines so damn high that paying them become financially troubling.

  • Rather than focusing on the tragedy and loss of lives, people always seem to comment about anything and everything else. This series makes me appreciate just being alive.

  • The entire airline industry worldwide is corrupt and profit driven.

You can't expect honesty and moral behaviour from ANY company when money is involved.

Things will not improve until there are laws in place that make the ones who are truely responsible accountable.

The only real way to stamp it out is to make the company executives themselves criminally liable for their actions and have severe penalties and long term maxium security imprisonment for those found guilty.

  • the ATC just didn't understand what the horror was until it deadly crashed in the sea
