Time lapse video of blooming Amaryllis: This is my 1st time lapse video of a plant.
Equipment: Tripod-mounted Canon 30D; Incandescent bulb lighting (shop reflector mount) activated by photoelectric timer (on at Dusk/ off at Dawn), Lens Aperture 2.8; set intervalometer to 2 minute intervals initially, but these plants grow so 'fast', that I was missing too much action. I switched subsequently to 20 sec interval. This is about 3 days of shooting from a video that is still ongoing; hoping to record about 10 days of time lapse on this gem, continuing at 3 frames per minute. Left charger by camera, and simply swapping out battery every 12 hours. Turned off camera's photo review and deactivated lens' automatic focus and image stabilization to conserve battery life. Using Photoshop CS3 to render the video set on high resolution.
