  • peter buck is awesome.

  • He's the God of stringed instruments. He's not necessarily the best guitarist or best mandolinist or, in this case, best dulcimerist but knows how to play the notes and make people go, "wow... that's some tune".

  • Didn't know he was that multi-instrument. Or, actually, I didn't pay attention. Hey, Loreena McKennitt! You need somebody to play the mandolin or mountain dulcimer? Here's your man!

  • What he meant by it is that Peter plays like somebody who's heard it all. He knows what has already been done and can find new music in the spaces between.

  • Well, uh... Pete worked in a record store when he met Michael, so I guess that Eddie was just being as honest as possible...?

  • He's got an unique style but first and foremost he's a brilliant song writer. It means he does not and can't even hide behind gimmicks. A bit like the Beatles.

  • Eddie Vedder said it best:

He plays like somebody who works in a record store.

  • i love rem. we cover "the one i love"

  • No, I think he uses a 12 string on 'Until The Day Is Done'.

  • never knew he could play the lap steel.
