Awesome... It took me a few tries before I realized it wasn't worth even using a blue mage for this one. All muscle! I let 6 rats through though... my technique's a bit flawed :)

Critical is pretty much useless because it rarely happens, and it's better just to have higher damage.

A paladin is one of those special dexers that cost 250 to create. Go to the skills menu and upgrade the paladin skills twice to unlock it.

On Unknown Ruins I used fully maxed out mage skills so the map was pretty easy. Just put a bunch of fire mages in the spots, then buy more land and put more mages.
