Hay Theanalogical,(should be annonothing).Dead men tell no tails.I'v spent some time with John,He's a real down to earth man.Baverlay must have been a saint(not). And it's about the music not the man.Take a look at your self, what have you done!!If I was you,I'd take your comment down! What will they say about you when your dead.?

A great musician does not a great man make..I love his music but his abusive treatment of his wife Beverley does not make him this great person, we are not our persona we are who we are.RIP John. and before anyone tells me to shut up etc etc i had agreat night out with his wife and we compared and shared our experiences.

What a presence. Love this as much as the tune on Solid Air. The breakdowns, and his rasp of a voice makes it really justifiable to how much of a great song this is.

Donal Lunny?

Attention dimwits. EVERYTHING about this is excellent. The fiddles are excellent. The bouzouki is excellent. The percussion is paricularly good. DT embodies excellence as does JM. So, for the avoidance of doubt, EVERYTHING about this particular rendition is excellent. Here's to JM, wha's like him? Gae few. And they're a' deid.

John Martyn always strived to update rearrange his music as he felt that nothing was perfect and that music should evolve. He also thought that people would get bored if he just regurgitated the same old version out. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Somtimes it was just down to the fact that people were either used to or loved the original versions. Either way, he was a genius and like a lot of people will miss him and the songs he was yet to write. RIP, you glorious fool.
