Slumdog Millionaire-Wastage of Oscars & Golden Globes

This movie was given a lot many prestigious international awards. I think giving awards to this movie was a sheer wastage. This movie does not deserve them at all. Some people raised a protest against this movie on wrong issues. Their protest was on the title of this movie Slum dog Millionaire. The boy in this movie was called slum dog. Some of the people protested that the producer has shown the poverty of India on world level. But the protest on both of these grounds was wrong. People living in slums are many a times living a life no better than that of dogs. No proper food, no proper clothing, no respect, nothings, they get nothing from life. The poverty shown in this movie is reality. If it would not have been a reality, and then showing it would have been certainly wrong. I too do protest this movie. The problem of poverty shown in this movie is a reality but the solution shown in this movie is imaginary. It serves no purpose at all. The movie does not render any good massage to the society. If this movie would have told us a story of struggle of a person who would have applied her brains and hard work to come out of the poverty, then certainly it would have become a masterpiece. Alas Slum dog millionaire is not a movie of that kind. This movie has suggested a childish and impossible solution of poverty. None can win million dollars in reality as the leading actor wins in this movie. One more minus point—all the Indian shown in this movie are cruel, heartless and selfish. I do approve many people not only in India but in the entire world would be like that but not all. If the producer would have shown some generous, humane and good Indians, it would have been an unbiased realistic story worth winning all the awards-National and International.

torrent895,I have objected on the PLAUSIBILITY of story shown in this movie.Of course such movies are mixture of reality and imagination.Of course such movies are not documentary movies,but at least the story of a movie which was chosen for all these awards should be a PLAUSIBLE one.

Do not get carried away by AWARDS,even Obama gets Nobel without doing anything,Even Saif gets a National Award,whenever Padma Shri,Padma Bhushan etc .are given in India ,many people object all the times.
