Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels - 18:07 Using Mario (Part 2 of 2)

This is my speed run of "Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels", for Super Nintendo ("Super Mario All-Stars" cart). This "warped" version of the original Super Mario is about 10 times harder to complete!

I used Mario for this run. You also have the option of using Luigi, who has better jumping ability but less traction. Luigi is probably easier to speed run with, but I wanted to do this using the tougher character, just to see if I could.

I was a little conservative at times in the name of survival, so it's possible to do this faster. However, the luck involved is so much higher that I'm satisfied with what you see here.

I still say this game looks like a badly designed fan hack... I have no idea what Nintendo was thinking with a lot of the things they did in this game.

What's interesting is that you actually can clear the D-2 jump from the spring to the flagpole. It's insanity though.
