@stantheman781 Actually, you do. if you don't, it'll clump and not be smooth at all. I've made fondu many times, and it won't workwithout the oil You can't even tell it's there. So please, don't act like you're the expert instead of this guy.

Is it better to heat the pellets before, or could you leave the fountain to do it? Also, what's the best way to make sure you get a smooth flow, with now holes, unlike yours?
