Robbie's true occupation was that of spiritual seeker and mystic. It propelled his music as well as his life. He was a loner, an eccentric genius, a gentleman, and my friend. God bless you Robbie wherever you may be.

I was also Robbie's friend - I knew him in Los Angeles in the 1970's, whenever he would come to town for a gig or two. He could be difficult and demanding and he did take his music & music-making very seriously - but he was also able to see the funny side of his working life...He had a lot of knowledge he gladly shared, and no one I know of has ever produced a comparable sound quality or music, either vocally or with the guitar. A true one-off and a lover of God & Meher Baba !
