Yeah agreed. It seems the second you start taking damage, it kicks in. Very annoying.

is 9800 gt the best graphics card out there? (my friend has it, so that's why I'm wondering)

no, the gtx 295 and the ati radeon 4870x2 are the best out there. but for a gamer who really doesn't care about maxing everything out the 9800 gt is a great card.

if you're looking to build a computer i strongly recommend the gtx 260 core 216 edition or the ati 4870. those are pretty good mid-high range cards that are a step above the 9800

if you want to go a step up get the gtx 275 (thats what i have and i must say its one beast of a card....runs HOT though) or the hd 4890
