  • Happy 90th Birthday to The Rifleman....Chuck Connors....RiflemanRay

  • You can also pick out Walter Alston and Tommy Lasorda. Walter was the Montreal manager when this film was shot. And the game was against the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles were a member of the International League until 1953. When the St. Louis Browns moved to Baltimore in 1954 they became the Orioles.

  • @bulldogbarks55 Thank you for that information....RiflemanRay

  • Chuck Connors picked the wrong time, and the wrong team, to want to play first base for. Brooklyn already had a guy, who wasn't too shaby, playing first base. His name was Gil Hodges.

  • I read that he threw and batted as a lefty. Strangely, he shoots his rifle right-handed on the TV show.

  • The Montreal Royals the AAA Affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers where the great Jackie Robinson played

  • Mr. Chuck Connors also played with the Boston Celtics for two seasons and was the first player to ever break the backboard
