What a pleasure to hear this. Ms. Martinez is a spectacular voice but also a moving actress ... the best there is. I've seen her at the Lyric in Pagliaci and in Faust ... and next season we get her Boheme .. can't wait! When she was at the Lyric last she spoke at an event about her career and was as charming and gracious as she is brilliant on stage - she took the time to personally greet each audience member in person and was so warm and appreciative.

I was fortunate enough to see Ms. Martinez in La Boheme, but I saw the still very excellent understudy at this production of Madama Butterfly.
This, though, is glorious. Quite possibly the best Un Bel Di I've ever heard.
