  • I'm only seeing one hawk, with easily seen patagial bars, a diagnostic finding seen in Red Tail hawks. They must be getting lift at this location. Where in East Sook are they?

  • @spelunkerd Yes only one red tail, unfortunately,and the rest were turkey vultures. The video was shot close to the Aylard Farm entrance to East Sooke Park.

  • @elle1246 Thank you for the reply. I've seen this kind of mass migration a few times on the prairies. One day I saw hundreds of hawks, mostly Swainson hawks, migrating together like this. That day I wasn't quick enough with the camera, and you don't often get opportunity.
