How to take corners in GTAIV

I'm about 15 hours into the game and I'm starting to get the hang of driving. It's definitely way more difficult than any other GTA. At first I couldn't believe how horrible the driving was, and now I feel like I'm a decent driver. In previous games you could go full throttle the entire time and just e-brake through the turns while still on full throttle. Now what I'm doing is driving full throttle until about 50 feet from the corner when I let off the gas. Then at about 25 feet from the corner I hold the regular brake (Left Trigger on Xbox). Then as I'm just at the corner I hold down the e-brake and hit the stick to turn (while still holding the regular brake). I let off the regular brake just as the car starts to turn. After the car is about 45 degrees into the turn I left off the e-brake and go back to full throttle. This seems to get me through the corner still at a relative high speed while staying off the sidewalk. It takes a lot of practice and you have to time it just right. I would say its about five times more difficult than driving in any previous GTA game. Also as strange as it sounds, I find it easier in this game to drive from the dash cam view. Here is a video of my making two different turns at about 25-30 mph and basically staying in my lane. It doesn't look that impressive until you try the same turn using just the e-brake and find yourself up on the sidewalk.

It's not faked. I'm not sure how to prove it other than you can listen to the radios music and tell it hasn't been slowed down.

I wouldn't say it is more difficult driving in GTA 4, it is, however, more realistic...

well its WAY more difficult to make turns compared to san andreas and when u go at fast speed u can easily loose control of the car.
