Hogs and bear would destroy this feeder, but I have found the only solution to this problem "Hang 'M High" portable feeder hanger! Keeps hogs and bear from getting to your feeder. Check it out on YouTube at Hang 'M High feeder hanger.

Should work. Only real difference in this and a commercial feeder is the bucket does not have swing gate. You could mod it to have a swing gate if you wanted.
