Classic Game Room HD reviews IKARI WARRIORS from SNK for the Nintendo Entertainment System NES. This 1986 version of the arcade masterpiece is bright, loud, shooty and it's Ikari Warriors! You can almost see the sweat on the beefcakes running through the jungle machine gunning mindless waves of enemies. Take command of tanks, helicopters and foot power as you shoot and destroy everything that moves. Play with a friend for 2 player co-op gameplay. This Ikari Warrios review has gameplay footage from the NES game cartridge, Ikari Warriors showing game play from the Nintendo Entertainment System. Classic Game Room HD reviews NES games as a retro reviewer reviewing classic NES carts like Ikari Warriors from 1986. Old school shooting awesomeness. With other SNK titles like King of Fighters being released today, will Ikari Warriors be remade for the PS3 Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 XBLA any time soon? We need a modern remake of Ikari Warriors with Robotron style controls! This Ikari Warriors arcade machine had a very unique rotating joystick design, too bad the NES version does not.

  • @demiandarko1 what crazy shit did you smoke and how the hell did you get 7 thumps?? how does this game look fake???

  • I prefer Guerilla War. The same top-view running, gunning, getting into tanks gameplay, but much better.

  • The ps3 version doesn't support 2 player play which sucks donkey balls, actually none of the SNK minis support true simultaneous 2 player play which is stupid.

  • @icgd1337r Absolutely. I remember Guerrilla War being the business back in the day. The original Ikari just looks too stark. 2 and 3 were pretty good, though.

  • these guys were soo bad ass that they got teleported to another world to fight a babbling rock head, in the sequel.

  • This game is fuckin' hard!

  • I loved this arcade game, 2player was awesome. I never made it to the helicopter though, way too hard...Commando was also good! Double dragon, original Street fighter, Rampage, Shinobi, Golden axe, Gauntlet, Atered beast, Robocop...

  • Fuck this game. The control is WORSE than dragon's lair, and I am not even kidding. The simple act of turning around feels like you're in a semi-truck trying to do a U-turn indoors. You walk slow, and I mean SLOW. Like, Uncle Fester could take a nap and 3 shits in a race with you and he'd still win, even with the poison debuff. Of course, the enemies are TWICE as fast, and the projectiles are even faster. On top of that, you get 3 lives, NO continues, and you die in one hit. GOOD LUCK!

  • A-B-B-A = Eternal life =)

  • @thekrinker thats funny cus i had the arcade before and sold it and i thought it was fun. then again i was like 4

  • the arcade versions of this and time soldiers was my shit back in the day.

  • ... Between the infalliable numbers of enemies, and how beefed up most of them are/were (ones armed with Super Grenades, especially), there are some sections that are absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get through without simply quarter-grinding your way through them. And the side-oriented arrow traps seem both invincible and undodgable; there's no way you'll move through them quick enough to escape being killed, and there's no break in their firing rate either.

    It's still fun, though.
