A-Basin Video From Opening Day 2011/2012 First Chair

This year before the lifts opened there was a moment of silence in honor of the co-founders of Arapahoe Basin Max Dercum and Marnie Jump who both passed away this year. Max was 98 years old when he passed. Marnie was 92

Without Max and Marnie there might have never been an A-Basin. Thank you guys for letting us all have lots of fun at the resort you helped create! Many fond memories of the Basin over the years.


This year 4 snowboarders were on the first chair at ABasin. Jeff Meyer , Meesh Hytner, Nate Dogggg and Mike Fischer.

This group of 4 snowboarders arrived at ABasin at 11:00am the day BEFORE the lifts opened to claim a spot on the first lift.
