@koddie24787 Thats the thing isnt it, trouble is we still dont know alot bout how this came about. Its kinda like mental health, not saying pedofiles all hav mental disabilities but Govt still need to research into this more. Society is still very quiet about this, especially in this day and age where we hav opened up so many things, like Gay rights and such, yet people still brush child abuse under the rug, and I think its cus they dont know alot bout it. So more needs to b done.

@Rev1913Rev1916 yeah 50 years ago a woman HAD TO marry a guy, even if she didn't want that, what kind of idea do you have in your head, if you love someone you only want them to be happy, does it really matter all that much if it's with a guy or a girl but you are right about the other thing though, i would NEVER approve that someone touches my child.. i do believe a pedofile has a sickness in the head, i don't think one can change that, they should be locked up :D

Kevin Bacon is a awesome actor, it takes real guts taking on such a sensitive subject. It kinda paints them in a way as they cant help it. I wud think that every pedophille has been a victim, abused at sum point in their life wen they were a child and so the process goes on, but as to how this has started in the first place baffles me. I really dont know if I feel sorry for his character at the end or not, cud u forgive a person who has abused a child?? If they had truly turned their life arnd??

@wishihadascreenname thanks first of all for your respectful tone. we're obviously at opposite ends of the belief spectrum. i consider the bible to be God's eternal word to mankind, and that the original context of this ancient moral law is transcended by eternally valid principles... but jewish/christian beliefs aside, something being consensual doesn't make it harmless. if you reply to this i won't be able to reply back for about 10 days but will do eventually. peace also to you.

@Rev1913Rev1916 Wow, really? i find it very odd and amusing that you are comparing homosexuality to pedophilia, something consensual and harmless to something which has damaged so many lives. Oh and that bit of the bible you think states homosexuality is wrong.... try reading it in the context of the time, place and people who wrote it, you may then understand what it really means, peace be with you.
