Kiddie Parties

Okay, let's sort out this whole kiddie party thing, shall we? Does anyone remember having big gift bags when they were kids? I think it's a spillover from celebrity gifting suites for award shows. If kids gift bags get any bigger we are going to have to pay taxes on them.

Have you ever gotten invited to a big kiddie party, where you don't know any adults accept the host? Torture. I've had to pass on a fair bit of kiddie of parties because they are smack in the middle of naptime, and it's just not worth it. I went to one that was great and it was great, partly because it wasn't too big. I actually could sit. There is nothing worse than having nowhere to sit.

Kids could care less about the goodie bags. Put some candy, bubbles and stickers in a bag and tie it up with some curly ribbon. From my experience the bags rarely even make it home!

Don't be a moron people, yes I have problems with this particular woman etc just because of some snap judgements that were made. Is that cool to do or what not, I don't know.

The main thing is this, you have to learn to get along with one another. If you can't do that, well all the beer or pot in your life isn't going to freaking help you at all.

If you can understand where another person comes from, then that is probably pretty cool.

Uh, no, that's Republicans. Which she most likely is but she is not the sole contributor to teen pregnancy and STD's. It's people who thump bibles and live in the South. Oh -- and Orange County.

My daughter will be 3 in sept and for her 2nd we skipped the gift bag, instead, we bought a bunch of goodies that the kids played with during the party and then could take home, like water guns, temp tatoos, dress-up accessories, nerf rocket launcher type things, the kids had a blast, it kept them entertained so the adults could have coctails and they got to go home with the toys which made clean up easier. We bought most things from dollar store or from a vendor at a fair.
