Meet the 'Queen of cocktail mixing'

Meet 21-year-old Zheng Wen from Beijing. Four years ago she was the youngest champion ever of the New Millennium Bartender Competition and was crowned as the 'queen of cocktail mixing'. Her fascination with bartending started early at six-years-old while observing her cousin working behind the bar.

But she's no ordinary bartender: Utilising the art of flair bartending, or 'flairtending', Zheng mixes cocktails to a combination of juggling and flipping tricks. Ironically, Zheng is actually allergic to alcohol, citing her favourite drink as water.

The rising star of Beijing's booming bar scene stopped by Hong Kong on the invite of Elements shopping centre to celebrate its one-year anniversary.

I await the day when flairtenders will do something glow in the dark. I've seen glow in the dark jager-trains at nightclubs and it works because energy drinks and tonic water fluoresce under blacklights. However both are carbonated which would spell disaster in flairtending.

wow I would luv to meet this girl. she is awesome! too bad i can't find any bios on her. i'm new to the bartending scene and after watching this clip, i'm even more intrigued by flairing.
