there many lags

I don't notice a giant speed difference. I think that metacity's minimize effect is just horrid.

Compiz is for showing off ur linux box to your friends.
Compiz also has some nice features which do improve the usability of your system, but it slows down.. a lot.
I prefer gaming with plain X.

i have to disagree, compiz with decent drivers and software uses almost no resources at all. I have ancient radeon 9600 pro 256 mb vram, and with compiz everything is smooth, also since windows are rendered by graphic card, i no longer see paintings.
-
I'm sorry but its first time i hear if application uses 25 mb of ram then it is memory hog. I personally didnt find any major bugs, blame your video drivers, not compiz fusion.

My Vbox crash whyle actualizing pacaman (pacman -Syu), so, i can't use arch+Gnome...

must agree with hleon768
Compiz is just the pain in the ass. Looks great, but really a resource hog. And still too buggy.
It f*cked up my v-sync, making videos jitter and the cube used to stop turning at it's own will. The only function i miss it is the ability to set up different wallpapers on the virtual desktops & seeing them together (Gnome). IMO it simply doesn't worth it. Only forYouTube demonstrations :D

you: useless waste of human resourses, as you've seen in hell.
-
i cannot get the cube to work:(

compiz fusion: useles waste of resources, as you've seen in Windows
Uso un amd athlon 64 x2 3800+, 2GB de RAM y una gráfica nvidia 7900GS, aunque cuando hice este vídeo tenía una nvidia 6100SE integrada en placa... la placa base no recuerdo sorry XD
