@physchohead24 if you use a long rod like that, you can cast past the breaking point of the waves and catch some larger fish

i just got back from fishing there and i went fishing in the surf and caught nothing but then i went in the harbor and caught a ton of fish i guess it depends on where you are

shrimp works great from berkley power bait. early morning is good. try to find a point in the surf where the waves break further out. if one spot is dead, move to another spot. and be prepared to catch a few crabs.
