@filthiestfish Doha, as an airport is fine, my only complains would be the staff working there. They treated me like I was flying for free and as I said, one of them said its hard/not possible to get a hotel without an American or British passport.I felt like kicking them at that moment. 8 something hours from chicago to london, 10 hours of stay at london, 11 hours at doha, I was literally shaking and they said No Hotel For you mr. No American Passport,smbdy should sue them.

@filthiestfish No, I have not written any complaints to them, I dont think they will take any steps to make me a happy camper. They didnt help me in any way when the luggage check in got closed. The QA guy kept telling me the "officers wont come" for an hour, and finally somebody came 30 minutes before take off and said they stopped boarding where in chicago they boarded passengers 20 minutes beforehand.I explained the situation but they said there is nothing they can do.

@sanju61822 I agree Doha (the airport) needs work until they open a new one. However, if this is Qatar airways representatives we are talking about then I am shocked. Did you write to them to lodge a formal complaint? If so, did they respond and offer you anything? Seems baffling to me.

@filthiestfish I am sure they have a good service in other places, but not where they should have, their main hub, Doha, has a horrible customer service their rude and mannerless employees offered me to give a hotel fr my 11 hour transit if I could show an american passport. Gulf airways gave me a hotel without any questions asked and I got to see Bahrain for free. Too bad Qatar treats their customers based on their citizenship.Sorry,Qatar is still going to be the last on my list.

@filthiestfish I explained them the situation very politely tht I hadnt slept fr almost 2 days as I had an 10 hour transit in UK before this. The employees were extremely rude and they had attitude. They said they dnt have an empty room in their hotels. Later another employee asked what passport I was holding and then he said O, its tough to get a hotel without american passport, I said I will pay, they said they dont care about me if I dont have an American passport.

@sanju61822 Moreover,they are the best airline in the world according to the Skytrax awards. Read their customer's overwhelming positive reviews on Airlinequality website. If the flight was terrible it was due to the uneducated passengers. Don't blame Qatar Airways for that. No, I am not an employee of theirs or affiliated to them in any way.

@sanju61822I find it hard to believe that Qatar Airways would not put you up in a hotel for free in Doha during your time there. They always do. They are not a 5* airline for nothing.

The most pathetic experience I ever had flying was this flight, from Doha to Dhaka and Back to Doha from Dhaka...All the passengers were Rude and Mannerless and talking very loudly entire flight.I kept looking at the gps map and counted each second and prayed to almighty please make us reach Bangladesh faster. 11 hours transit in Doha, they didnt give me a hotel even when I offered to pay for it.Pathetic service=qatar airways.Stay away Qatar Airways if u want a pleasant flight.

Always a terrible flight when going from Dhaka thats why we always upgrade to business class
