Hands-on career training

Students

We call our approach applied training, because every program at BCIT requires students to practice their new skills through internships, industry-sponsored student projects, practicum assignments or cooperative (work/ study) training. Approximately 60 per cent of your education will be in a classroom, whereas 40 per cent of your training will occur in a real workplace scenario. This applied, practical focus on education, as well as our partnerships with industry, results in programs that are relevant and up-to-date, and produces graduates who truly are job-ready.
High job placement rate

BCIT graduates are in demand in the job market, both here and around the world. The vast majority of our graduates secure employment related to their BCIT education within a few months of graduation.
