Guillotine choke, just like the submission after that. Marcelo doesn't do anacondas d' arces or other kinds of arm in chokes.

Anyone know what happened at 1:05? An anaconda or darce choke maybe?.

@quicklikeabunny666 i know guys who really quitted training, thinking they don´t get/got better at all. they forgot that the skills of their opponents did rise(rose?) as well :) so challenging a beginner from time to time and see our improvements is good for the ego and is no cheating to ourselfes, because we learn for selfdefense!
haduken!!! ;)

why would you roll with other guys when rayn hall and marcelo garcia are rolling just metres away. crazy.

Watching the people in the background is similar to going to an art museum and analyzing the graffiti on the bathroom stalls.
Their respective bjj games are similar yet so distinct. Both are smaller guys, all about technical proficiency, and smooth transition. No muscling technique. As a blue belt, seeing this makes my game feel absolutely worthless. What long journey we all have to even approach this level of technicality.

They were obviously technically training - part 1 was much like a warmup. These men KNOW HOW to train; it looked as if they were exploring each other's game with Marcelo being the senior. Notice at the end Marcelo pulls him aside and they're about to get into discussion.
Again, this is HOW training should be. When you take the "match mentality" out of training, your sensitivity will enhance. Thus, better transitions. The transitions are the MEAT of submission.
