During return from an operational deployment to the Gulf in 2003 HMS Cumberland embarked families of the crew to sail from Lisbon to Plymouth to sample life aboard an active Royal Navy ship.

Best Ship I ever had. Good times, good people. So sad to hear she's going.............there'll be no 22's left in the fleet, they're all going. sad times. Long live the Quango :) x

i only hav 3 more months on this ship until i get transferd to hms clyde in the falkland islands

I served on this ship , 1992 - 1993 did the wigs tour , best ship in the navy and the best crewed good luck to all of you on there now stay safe and keep the fridge well stocked in the zoo.

@kwldude Sorry just went on Friends Family return passage from Gulf in 2003 when my son was on board as 2nd pilot. Took video and gave copies to Captain and crew who wanted a momento.
