Martha requested Jim to record a piano solo version of Rosetta by Earl Fatha Hines. This would be the first time since EBM6(1973's "Eubie Blake Introducing Jim Hession") that Jim had recorded this piece. His 1973 rendition can be heard on the artistopia website. This tune is a favorite of traditional and mainstream jazz groups. One of the most famous recordings was by Fats Waller, who interpreted it as a vocal ballad. Jim has recently recorded Rosetta with trumpeter Mike Fulton for an upcoming CD.
