  • @hypodynamia There's never been a single authority of all martial arts and there never will be. And you most certainly don't need to be PhD in ANY field to be a grandmaster.

  • theas masters are awesome i grew up admiring them ; my gift to all of my martial brothers' on you tube- american shaolin wudan jerry cook- a hundred styles for my famly

  • I agree with skittles. There are volumes written on lineage and heritage. Your idea of martial arts is way to American-ized ... you kwazy

  • It's an established academy. Similar to how people earn their doctorates. The origin is still the authority today.

  • You're joking, right? There are some other arts from different parts of the world. To think a person has to be examined bay a Chinese grandmaster is krazy!

  • Many westerners like to fake thenselves as "grandmasters". You can only be qualified a grandmaster when u sit for an examination in China under the critical trial of 5 to 20 Chinese grandmasters for ~ 40 days.

Exception circumstances is a passing of mandate from an accomplished grandmaster. In Korea, China and Japan, u must have a PhD in that field.
