Videographer Kenny Snodgrass, Actives and Author of From Victimization to Empowerment. www.trafford.com/07-0913 - This was an interview with Assata Shakur in Cuba, a member of the Black Liberation Army, a victim of armed police attacks in the 1960's. This interview was conducted by myself (Kenneth Snodgrass), and others in May of 1992. We were there as part of the Venceremos Brigade.
The Venceremos Brigade was founded in 1959 to foster friendship between Cubans Americans and Americans in the U.S.A. I interview her a number of times, and plan to use them in my new book called "Conversation with James Boggs, and Assata Shakur." I grew up under the Panther Party. And there are so many political prisoners in America to date. And really America needs to repent but they have not. They think that welfare and public housing is away to repent which is a silly way of thinking being the amount of blood on Americas hands. Freedom for all 12 tribes which have suffered and the hands of all white people.
