How long does a pacific crossing take in 27 foot boat? Where is the end-point of the crossing? Oz? NZ? Further north? Please keep sailing and posting! As soon as I get some confidence single handing my Trintella 1a I intend to grab some video too - can't imagine me doing a solo transpac or transat - England to France maybe! :-)

That is a self-steering vane. Get the boat going in the right direction, set the sails so they're working right then set the self-steering vane and the boat will steer itself.

Thanks for the comments. The song's off one of their more obscure CDs: "Abandoned Shopping Trolley Hotline." It's a two disc set.
