A Forbidden Love Chapter 10

"Ready," he asked. I only nodded, he made me speechless just by looking at me, smiling was one thing but touching? If I had breath, I wouldn't be able to breath. If I had a heart, it would be beating so fast. If I had blood, I would be blushing like mad. He led me out into the kitchen where he stopped to put on a black jacket, which he rolled up to the elbows. "Do you have a jacket?"
"Um, I'm fine."
"You'll get wet, I'll get you one of Amanda's." He was gone before I could protest.He came back with a light blue coat.
"Thanks," I put my arms into it as he helped my put it on.
"No problem," We walked out the front door and put on our shoes. I gave
him my keys then we ran out to my car and got in. He started it then cranked up the heat. He drove to the end of the drive way in silence.

"Which way?"

"Uh, right." He followed my direction then turned and looked at me.

"So," he started.

"So?" I echoed.

"Uh, do you have any brothers?"

"Um, no."

"Oh, okay, cool...I guess." An awkward silence filled the car. "So, um, awkward!"

I laughed, "yeah, so do like having a big family?"

"Um, yeah it's cool. It was nice when it was just me and my parents though, quiet."

"Oh, I see." I said, "I always wanted a big family but it's just me and my mom."

"Really, um, if you don't mind me asking..." He trailed off and looked at me expectantly.

"No, go ahead."

"What happened to your father?"

"Oh, he died when I was...young...I don't remember."

"I'm sorry," he looked at me then back at the road. "Your sad about that
aren't you?"

"Um, just that I don't know what happened."

"I can imagine, well sort of. The same thing happened to Nick, but that's his story."

"Oh, okay. So, the roads seem fine," I said as it got a little awkward again.

"Yeah, they are."

"So, what's your favorite movie?"

"Movie? That's random?" He laughed.

"Yeah, sorry." I looked down at my hands.

"Na, random is good," I looked up after he said then and met his eyes. He smiled his smiled then turned back to the road. "Um...Dumb and Dumber is a good one."

"Oh, I LOVE that movie! Jim Carrey is the BOMB!" We laughed then talked about our favorite things on the rest of the ride home. I found a lot about him actually. When we finally arrived at my house it was as thought I've known him all my life. Well, not all my life since he's 18 and I'm 98 but that is besides the point. He pulled into my garage then turned off the car and turned to me. "Um, would you like to see my toys?"

"Your toys," he asked, raising a eyebrow.

"Yeah, come on." I got out of my Jetta and he did the same. "Well, you've seen my Jaguar but these are my toys." I took him over to where my bikes where.

"Whoa, you have a bullet?"

"Yeah, its a Yamaha R6, 2007. And this one is a Kawasaki," I explained.

"Whoa. I can't see you on those," he laughed.

"What? Why not?"

"I don't know, you seem so..delicate."

"Oh..delicate...Well I guess we'll have to go riding some time," I smiled.

"Yeah, that would be awesome," he smiled back at me. Then his phone rang, "excuse me." Joe walked over to the other side of the garage. It took everything I had not to listen to his conversation, just to hearing his voice does things to me. He walked back over to me, "sorry about that. It was my mom, I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, definitely."

"Bye Christina."

"Goodbye." I smiled then he got into my Jetta and drove off. I reached to grab my bag but I couldn't find it. I must have left it in my car...oops. I ran into my room then sat on my bed. I guess its good for something. After taking my phone out of my pocket I called Denise,

"Christina? Are you alright?"

"Yes, thanks. It's just I forgot my books in my car and was wondering if Joe would bring it to school tomorrow?"

"Oh, certainly. I'll tell him to when he gets home," she said.

"Thank you."

"No problem, bye honey."

"Bye," I hung up. I laid back on my bed and sighed. In all my years I have never felt like this about anyone before. He is the light that makes this dark abis of eternity disappear. I looked out my window and curled up. I thought about him while I watching the animals and trees move around outside. I zoned everything out, every sound, and focesed on remembering his voice, his smiled, his laugh.
