The actor's name is Bill Parrot and yes I believe he is credited for the infamous Degrassi TNG season 2 or 3 episode when Emma Searches for her father.

He's not getting many better offers. Once you've been in a teen drama and have grown up on screen, you sort of become that character and become typecast. I don't think anyone can see Pat Mastrioanni (sp) as anyone other than Joey, nor Amanda Stepto being anybody but Spike and so on.

I think the only people to really to wash off the Degrassi Stain were Dayo "BLT" Ade who ended up guesting on high-profile US drama and Bill "Shane" Parrott.
