Shortlisted for Best Football Book, British Sports Books Awards 2011, Family by Michael Calvin follows an emotional season with a real football club fighting for promotion.
Award-winning sports writer Michael Calvin turned up for the first day of pre-season training at Millwall FC and sat among the subs at Wembley, 333 days later. Intimate and compelling, Calvin's book vividly portrays players and management as family men, close to their roots: 'We're playing for the people who hate their jobs, who'd love our lives'.
Forget the glitz of the Premier League -- this is the beautiful game in all its raucous glory, essential reading for anyone for whom football is a way of life.
The book is published by Corinthian Books on 5th January 2012

Definitely one of the best books I have ever read, just couldn't put it down. It was interesting to see what Kenny is like in the dressing room and now just how he portrays himself in the media. Good work Mike, I look forward to reading your next Millwall project.
