She's not stupid, she's just nervous. And she did the right thing: she stopped her stupid answer, admitted that she was unprepared and nervous and laughed at herself.

I don't blame her. She's really nervous and has to think right on the spot. What's worse is that she has a hard time speaking English. She's not stupid. She's just really nervous.

She was just really nervous in front of all those people and also didn't speak English very well. That can be really frustrating specially for us non-English native speakers. My guess is that she was trying to 'think' about what to say into her native language and to translate it after in English. Well anyway I met a lot of Phillippine people who speak excellent English.

Well, if someone throws a random question and you're forced to answer it in a few seconds I think people would react the same way. Especially when they don't speak English fluently.
