that statement implies that the universe is contracting back into a singularity AKA the big crunch... sorry but the universe is expanding and accelerating, the ultimate end of the universe is one much larger than today, where all all bits of matter that make up everything in the universe are being accelerated away from each other...eventually approaching the speed of light at this speed the atomic structures are literally pulled apart. AKA the big freeze.
