I never really came in contact with much of his work, but i feel i should at least pay tribute to recognize his impact on those who encourage free thinking/do not believe in any religions.

  • Still if he helped change some mindless zombies into thinking people he did good.

  • @TheRenekruse Agreed!

  • I never read any of his books either, I have seen him clips with him on youtube and some on tv, I knew of him, the say way I know of Dawkins and so on because they speak out against religion, as I myself do. I never felt the need to read about what I already know. In all honesty I don't know what is so great about him or dawkins other than they are well known, but as I said I have not read their books but in the clips ive seen I've not seen anything truely mind blowing.

  • @TheRenekruse They themselves might not be mind-blowing, in the sense that atheists exist - but to young atheists, if i even had one of those guys while growing up in my backward church town, i would have idolized that person for being someone - someone FAMOUS - who doubted god while personally living among all these creepily brainwashed sheep... with few sound-minds and far between: good friends. Well, i had Marilyn Manson who gave me the confidence, believe it or not, hehe.

  • @TheRenekruse..&some people need to know more facts that they don't readily have or aren't able to figure out how to start researching. And some people have different ways with words that sink in better for each individual, showing us different ways to argue our points successfully, rather than coming off as "angry" or childish, which is how they really feel about us. The irony is off the charts, given it's THEM who believe in ancient fairytales about talking snakes and virgins...

  • Thanks for making the video!

(One thing, if you could, you should raise the volume. Even at max for me, it's pretty quiet.)

  • @Dwicker64 Yah, that's how i feel sometimes, too. But it's nice getting someone else's wording on an issue, to perhaps have a better way to communicate it to those we're trying to convince. Which is really what the "war" is all about.

  • @chibicat13 Wow, crazy! I have this one called "God: A Biography" that i picked up from a mall book market here in chilliwack. Couldn't finish it all at the time (i was about 18-19, not a heavy non-fiction reader), but it goes through all the personality disorders and origins of where Yahweh came from. Telling a biography of his character just from what is written in the bible itself. It reveals a lot, but the author only does the Torah portion (Jewish). Yahweh's one crazy mofo!

  • In Defense of Atheism is really good, I read it a while ago. God is Not Great paperback is on Amazon(dot) ca for a good price. I actually feel pretty lucky to have the hard cover edition because it's now going for over 100 bucks online... price must have jumped after he died.

  • Never read any of his books myself. It would be just reinforcing my own thoughts. Still a great and intelligent man.
