lcd pannels are better because they have a trnsparent metal oxide electrode ready coated on them :P
kind of hard to get that on a fridge door

from research i did into sources of ITO coated glass the fridge doors for shop drink fridges and the like have a coating to prevent fogging-i dont know how thick it is but anything is worth a try -given the price of conventional solar panels-thanx for commenting

Great video, I especially like how you source your materials! I am doing a PhD in this technology, I could send you some better chemicals and tips on eliminating some of those defects if you'd like, and then make another video? I assume you are in Oz?

i got some flouroscein and a blue dye-hopefully the flouro dye will catch UV as well...pls no chemicals...i have had enough attention with the cold fusion thing!!!

Well, I got an old laptop screen from a buddy of mine. The glass isnt broke, but getting all the crap off the screen is a pain in the ass! If I screw it up, he has some more for me to try :)

cool-remember i made a mistake by adding the TiO2 to both sides-so only put it on one,and try to make the layer as thin as possible-be careful cracking the screen open -cut finger potential is high!

I wonder if a dark blue ink would work. Certainly it would be easier and cleaner than squeezing berries.
