I have a friend from Nelson, NZ. who keeps telling me theres no such place as Hobbiton, he's such a liar, He's got a one way ticket to Mordor!

Should I ever get to NZ Forza Aquila, I will of course make a sequel with photos of said place.

@ForzaAquila The Lord of the Rings is influenced by European Mythology. Primarily, it is influenced by Mythology, Folklore and Culture from the British Isles. The landscape of places like Cornwall is what parts of Middle Earth was based on. Peter Jackson originally planned to shoot LOTR in England, but due to the heavy industrialisation of the UK it was more practical to shoot in NZ.
