@melkaira Yeah I know you have to adjust for PPP but still $45USD is roughly 5000LKR which is still very minimal considering the amount of training sessions and time spent. I doubt anyone can maintain a decent standard of living on 5000LKR and even a 3 wheel driver would make more per day. But I guess these players have other jobs and are playing for the love of the game.

@slinga That might be true actually.Thats because at that stage, they are not playing it really professionally.That is their platform to demonstrate their skills.And I completely agree with Sanga.Test Cricket should always be a priority.It is the core of the game

Quite shocking that Sri Lankan club players only get $45/game. If this was a 50 over game which takes roughly 6hrs, that's $7.50/hr which is less than what a 15 year old makes at McDonalds.
