Appeal: Help the IDPs of Swat, Buner & Dir in Pakistan

1.3 Million Internally Displaced Persons from Malakand Division alone. Please donate generously in this time of crisis. These folks fled their homes to allow army to conduct an operation to save the country from butchers. For decades these hospitable people have hosted visitors in their hill abodes and now they're homless in their own homelands

Govt of NWFP has set up an Emergency Response Unit. ERU is collaborating with UN's World Food Program to generate funds for the IDPs. Make a difference. Every cent, penny and ruppee counts! Emergency Response Unit has been setup by the Government of NWFP to strengthen the working of the Provincial Relief Commissionerate (PRC) to provide shelter and relief to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), migrated to down districts of NWFP from Buner, Swat & Dir Districts due to military operation carried out by the Pakistan Army against the militants.

The Government has setup 17 Camps for the IDPs and they are also registered outside the Camps as Host Families or Off Camp IDPs.
