words in heart
thoughts run through my empty head
words to sing for all the dead
all the ones who died too young
all the songs that went unsung

matthew shepard was 21,
went out one night to have some fun
had some drinks, left the bar and then
got beaten to death by 2 young men
all because this boy was gay
they beat him and took his life away

lawrence king was only 15
he had hardly seen the world to be seen
asked a boy to be his valentine
just simple words "please be mine"
the boy took this as such a threat
he took a gun and shot larry to death

anthony milano was full of love
he was an artist, a gift from above
2 men followed him from a bar
all the way out to his car
they beat him bloody and set him ablaze
and sent him to an early grave

this violence it has to cease
why cant we all just live in peace?
love one another as we were made
i hope i live to see that day
so many people have died in vain
causing familys so much pain

Thank you for making this video! Even though it no onger has the music by Reba to go along with it, the words say so much. It means a lot to me because my own distant cousin was murdered years ago in his own home by two landscapers that had done work for him (and had pure hate in their hearts). His name was Tony. We all miss him very much. I made a video about it a couple of weeks ago. My message and profile pic have been Stop The Hate and Tony's murder was my thought behind that message. -Kim
