Lionel 6-31705 50th Anniversary Set (Loco) #5433 - TMCC

In 1950, the No. 2148WS Deluxe Pullman Set proved a thrilling achievement that capped the first fifty years of Lionel Trains. The set was touted as "the finest steam-type passenger set made!" • 0:53 Passenger car's wheel is off the track!

  • @james1234434 - yep, it happens!

  • Another question, if I may? I have read comments on other postings about carpet fibers getting into the motor, and doing harm. Is this a real threat? I have a New York berkshire junior that I run under the tree, but I have a fleese blanket on the carpet to act as snow.

  • @wclaurence - carpet can effect any motor, the fibers can wrap around the drive shaft. (even a roomba carpet vacume which is designed to run on carpet can jam up if the fibers aren't cleaned out) You can run a train on carpet as long it doesn't have a lot of lose fibers that would get into the engine.

  • Do my eyes deceive me, or is the number on the loco 5433? Your title says 5344.

  • @wclaurence - yep is 5433....typo
