Riding the elevator at Willow Bend Mall Plano TX somehow on the 2nd floor the elevator sign was missing an E and said
El vator and there was a floor indicator on the first floor when there were already bells in there

You have summed up the sad state of the once giant American industrial manufacturing complex. Dover, Montgomery, Armor, Westinghosue, Haughton... only Otis remains as a domestic brand (and even they have moved the vast majority of their manufacturing plants to Mexico and China). It's a sad sign of the times.

This is a nice elevator. KONE makes nicer elevators and it used to be Montgomery.
