Quick Review of Wacom Bamboo Touch

Did the unboxing in a previous video, here's a quick overview. Installed the software on the CD already (driver & prefPane in System Preferences on OS X, about 29 megs iirc).

The prefPane is pretty basic, you can only do 2 fingers and you can't program the functions (like the click-buttons) per-application, so if you do a "save" command in Photoshop, it applies to every program across the board.

Works pretty well. Takes a little getting used to - you have to be careful not to rest your hand on it (like a mouse) because that will cause it to click. Overall I like it. Would like more support for more than 2 fingers as input, as well as per-app programming. I'll put up another video if I find anything new. Enjoy.

Do you have to have photoshop for a tablet if your drawing on the tablet?

@chrissyluvsjesse You can use Corel Painter, Paint Shop Pro, etc. - basically anything with pressure support. Other drawing programs are usable as well, but it just acts like a mouse and not a pressure-sensitive drawing device.

@DiNatalli Probably never. They have a history of horrible mice, why would they change now? Next it will probably be like a tuna can that cuts open your fingers, but it's white and wireless with a shiny Apple logo on it...

Can you make it work like the pen, but with your finger? Y'know, with the 1:1 screen representation on the tablet for finger painting and such?
