Glad i'm not the only one who did that then! Test fitting of the body and the front wheels might have brought it to my attention. You live and learn... And re the decals... yeah that does happen with older models that have been left. Obviously if the kit is still being made you can get new ones from the maker. I'd like to make another bonneted Scania. The choices are limited though. I'll give it some thought.

@44magnum2146 I couldnt get a clean stick withthe bonnet pegs on one side. I cleaned and glued but it just wouldnt sit. So I ended up getting a paper clip and bending it round to hold the bonnet in place making sure it still opened. I think, if I had known the transfers were going to break. I would of cracked open the Black and Silver spray paint and the tap and made it black with silver stripes. Hindsight is lovely isnt it?

I built this exact same model about 20 years ago. But i put the front wheels on slightly too far back, god knows how! They don't do it anymore, which is a real shame.

@44magnum2146 I will tell the truth. I managed to put the wheels on to far back. The idiots guide was a bit misleading, and I only noticed when I had to put the oil tank on the side, because it wouldnt fit. Luckily with a little bit of gentle persuasion, I managed to take it off and put it in the same place. A problem I did find with it though, was because it was so old. The transfers had lost all strength and tore easily which was a shame and why some are missing.
