The laughing is the best part of this!

This was NOT done at a bar in Florida. It was recorded in the production room of WEZC in Charlotte in about 1980.
The laughing you hear is the program director, hearing this for the first time as it's recorded. Classic.

The first time I ever heard this on the radio, I was in my kitchen on Christmas Eve preparing food. I had already been in a laughing mood, you know, when something makes you laugh and you just can’t stop laughing and then everything is funny. Then this comes on the radio and I am literally on my kitchen floor with tears coming down my cheeks. And no, I wasn’t smoking anything.

My mother played this for me when I was young and I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever heard!! It is now my favorite Christmas song ever and it's hard not to laugh when the man in the background gets the giggles!! It makes me laugh everytime I hear it!!
