The Vatican has condemned the U.S. imposed embargo on Cuba. According to Archbishop Claudia Maria Celli, president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, the embargo mainly affects people.
During his visit to Cuba, Archbishop Celli has asked that the Church be allowed to have normal access to the countrys means of communication and said that government restrictions are the biggest obstacle to the Churchs communicative efforts.
