And Another month comes to a close.

First off, please excuse my poor handling, yes I am indeed flailing my arms all over the place. It's a horrible habit... I blame bowling.

Another note when Dodger (the chocolate lab) is on the A-frame, it's only wobbling around so much since I miss counted the links when I adjusted the height...

Anywho, this month I introduced Dodger to the pause table, A-frame, a twelve inch jump, and one 16 in jump. I won't have him jumping any higher than that, Don't want to push the old boy too much lol. I'm having alot of fun with this goofball.

Then With Lil, we're working on some rear crosses in the weaves and other random things, really just paying more attention to what I'm asking her to do. Once the snow got really bad I had to move our training down to the basement. I dug up our old ping pong table and set up a make shift A-frame. Mom was planning on tossing it so she let me add slats on it for future snow storms :)

This month we had a CPE trial (no vids) and Q'd 4 out of 6 runs. 2 Q's each day. And Lilly was smoking! Gave me her full attention and kicked it in high gear. I'm so proud of my girl.

I DO NOT own the audio, It's "Rainbow Veins" by Owl City
All pics/clips are (c) to me

Oh! And a puppy update for those interested, I've started e-mailing a papillon breeder, and will be visiting January 18th, keep your fingers crossed for me?

  • Wow! Nice distance work...I'm a little jealous, LOL. Had to get awfully creative in the snow storm huh? I litarelly went insane with nothing to do.

I wouldn't say your flailing is -so- bad, haha. I have a problem with flailing and bowling the dog when I get frustrated. What helps me is putting my hands in my pockets and really concentrating on using my shoulders and hips. My trainer would call it 'boobing'.

Really, though, your handling is great! And congrats on the Q's!

  • ROFL! Lilly is a contact suck at home so distance on the contacts isn't an issue, it's keeping her off them that can be a problem lirl.

Ug I know right? We just about a foot over here so I had to shovel out a space in the front yard so Lilly could go potty

Ooh, the hands in pockets is a really good idea, I'll have to try that!

    Thanks :)

  • You guys look awesome!!! btw I love watching your videos!! =)

  • Loved her tricks!

  • You guys look great. Nice distance work!! Haha.. when I don't pay attention, I'm very bad also about giving mixed signals. Ahhh! It's always the handler's fault isn't it? ;)

  • haha Thanks. Yeah, the basement doesn't have much space to do a lot of running around, but it's perfect for the little things :)

Dodger is such a sweetie xD Love that boy

    Thanks!
