Вечером в центре грузинской столицы было также многолюдно. Корреспондент "Кавказского узла" побывавший в это время у здания Парламента, представил видеосюжет, передающий ситуацию на 19:00 мск
People fight not only against president, but against russian agression too. I know that maybe far from Georgia it looks like prorussian demosntration, but that's not true. Nobody wants rusian soldiers on our land, rusian puppet slaves. They want just free and united Georgian lands!
Hopefully the Georgians are not so stupid as to overthrow a nationalist president and have him replaced by a pro-Russian puppet? Being controlled by Russia again would drag Georgia back to underdevelopment, backwardness, economic and political stagnation, control of state resources by the oligarchy, restrictions on democracy, cutting links with the West, restricting opportunities for young people. Would Georgians want that?
Well, people have democratic right to demonstrate. As long as there is no violence. This video shows that the crowd is very peaceful indeed.
I have read somewhere that Russia has been giving heavy financial support to some of the oposition parties. The aim being to overthrow president Saakashvili.
