  • SPLINK!!

  • @TheMasterNo6 especially one is also a sociopath. River is just so gross. I don't care if river was played by a super-model she would still be the ugliest character to ever disgrace dr who.

Rose, Martha, and River are all a bunch of clingy whingy women who follow the dr around like a love sick puppy.

Moffat clearly has no understanding of women. what happened between Blink and series 5 remains a mystery.

  • I love the black and silver color scheme of the Daleks in this story, much nicer than the boring battleship grey and black they used most often.

  • @Sunshineflower94

I think that's why Donna is my favorite "new age" companion. Sure she was the "mate" for a while, but by no means was she sexy or a love interest. Gotta love that mole in her chin, too =3

  • I don't know what everybody is talking about. Sure, Amy's really the flirting type and River in that way is just her mother's daughter. But Donna was by no means trying to be sexy. Nor was Martha.

And the funny thing is, Liz Shaw (Pertwee's first companion) wears skirts that are just as short as Amy's, without the tights Amy wears under them, and I hear no one mentioning her!

Don't get me wrong, I love Sarah Jane! I just think the different characters of the companions should be appreciated.

  • the guy that wrote this is a genius and the actors i mean dr who and sara jane acted this perfectly should be made into a feature film really. love it to bits and first saw it when i was about 6 years old. Now im 40 and it has left a lasting impressin for its beautiful scenes and most of all the way it is portrayed in a thrilling manner. God bless you john pertwee one of your best thankyou to the bbc for one of your best works.

    kind regards Ray steedman

  • @coltperc She was just a nice character played very well by a nice person. And they didn't inject sexiness and attitude as they sadly do since 2005 in the new series into her characterisation. I'm all for strong women but attitude and 'aren't I sexy?' really is off putting in an assistant.

  • @TheMasterNo6 Elisabeth Sladen is SO darn good as Sarah Jane, projecting such genuine character, intelligence, competence, and capability as a companion, that she connects powerfully to the viewer as a genuine person. Her "genuineness" hides her sexiness at times!

"Sarah Jane" remains THE companion simply because no one before or since, has made such a powerful connection to the audience.

In my intro to DW in the 70's it was Lis who grabbed my attention, above even Tom Baker!

  • @Clone683 This YEAR, 2012 should be the release of the final 4 "Sarah Jane Era" Classic WHO's: INVASION O/T DINOSAURS and ANDROID INVASION are being released right now in early January. DEATH TO THE DALEKS and TERROR O/T ZYGONS to be released also this year, precise date unspecified as of yet. I should be receiving IOTD & AI any day now!

  • What I love about Liz Sladen was they didn't ask her nor did she try to act sexy or with a feisty attitude compared to todays Amy bloody Pond and River Sodding Song - Liz was lovely, sexy and a nice companion without even trying. She reminded me of an old SIndy doll when she was younger.
